Scout Niblett

It's been a while since I posted and nobody noticed. I'm almost insulted enough to delete all my posts and quit, but I need to bask in your intermittent attention far too badly for that. In Seattle, we are neglected by the sun for three hundred days a year, but we still worship its fashionably late June arrival.

San Francisco is the land of milk and honey (and terrible coffee, generally, but that's another story). While I was down there I snagged a ticket for the Scout Niblett show at 12 Galaxies. She's this little woman from Nottingham in England who has been living in the USA for the last couple of years. Many of her songs feature only her vocals and a drum or an electric guitar that dispenses chords that hold on to your heart with the fierce grip of a climber on a crumbling cliff face.

She brought down the house in my chest cavity when she covered TLC's "Scrubs", but this is all I could find on the Internet. Scout Niblett's "Kiss":
